Feature Title
Sometime back in the mid to late 70's someone gave me a CrockPot for some long forgotten occasion. I had never done much cooking before, but I could grill hamburgers pretty well and Bologna sandwiches were pretty easy to make. The CrockPot came with a book of recipes and one day I decided that I was going to cook something and I settled on Beef Strogonoff. That sounded good and the directions appeared to be easy so I got started. I was doing ok until I came to the part about adding a clove of Garlic. I wasn't sure what a clove was and wound up adding an entire head of Garlic. A bit of sensory overkill, but, as I recall, the Strogonoff was pretty good.
I found that I like to cook and I have long found it to be both relaxing and satisfying. Over at the left are some of my favorite recipes and I will be adding more from time to time.
I also usually do a bit of canning each summer and I will be adding some directions and tips. One of the things I usually do each summer is make some Habaņero Pepper Jelly from peppers I grow myself. I'll be adding that recipe soon.
