Directions and notes:
Take a broiling or roasting pan and spray it with Pam or rub it down well with Olive Oil. Cut the Salmon into good sized steaks and rub them down on both sides with Olive Oil and salt and pepper to taste. Put this under the oven broiler for 10 minutes.
At the end of this 10 minute period remove the pan from the oven, turn over the Salmon steaks, and place thinly sliced lemon wedges on the Salmon. Put back undr the broiler for another 8 minutes.
While the Salmon steaks are cooking for the last 8 minutes prepare the Walnut sauce. Take 3 tsp of butter and melt it in a shallow frying pan or pot. After the butter is melted put in about 1/2 cup of coarsely chopped Walnuts and cook in the butter for about 2 minutes with constant stirring. Add 1 tsp of brown sugar and stir in, while cooking, until the sugar is dissolved.
At the end of the final 8 minutes remove the Salmon steaks from the broiler and serve on a plate. Ladle out some of the Walnut sauce and pour over the Salmon steaks. This goes well with any vegetable side, but I especially like it with asparagus.
